Hard-luck Paul, recently out of a job and rudely dumped by his girlfriend, has to sell his car in order to pay his rent. When he is contacted seemingly out of the blue by an old friend, he becomes inexorably involved in a strange, quasi-legal scheme, until it's nearly pointless to pull out.
